Symbol of Water in Dreams (222)

Introduction

This post makes an attempt at explaining the significance of water in dreams. In this post I will focus on the meaning of water in our dreams as seen from the perspective of the work on ourselves and in the general sense.

Generally water, whether it be a lake, a sea or an ocean, usually refers to our sexual waters or energy, as the per name in Gnosis given to the sexual energy: “the waters of life”.

Sexual energy is more similar to water than anything else. It is liquid in its rawest form, more so than a solid. Therefore it is very fitting that the symbol of eh sexual energy be a body of water.

Calm Waters

Work Meaning

To see calm waters in our dreams or to be close or swimming in calm waters is a positive sign. What this means is that our sexual waters are in a calm state, that is our sexual energy is under our control and we are not being driven or controlled by it. Or in other words our sexual energy is not operating outside of its natural orbit and it is not bothering us.

General Meaning

Calm waters could also refer to the need to calm the mind so to be able to see the truth of our psychology. Calm waters could also indicate to us that we need to reflect more deeply on things in general or more deeply on a particular issue that may be bothering us.

Clear Waters

Work Meaning

Clear waters, once again is a very good symbol. To see a clear body of water whether it be a small or large body of water such as a swimming pool or a lake is certainly a very good symbol. It indicates the state of our sexual energy, specifically telling us that our sexual energy is being cleared and purified and that we are doing well.

General Meaning

Clear waters in a more general sense can mean an absence of worries or danger. It could also mean transparency in your mind and in your relationships and in your dealings in life. Overall it is positive.

Dirty or Putrid Waters

Work Meaning

Dirty or putrid waters signify that our sexual energy is polluted or stained with many characteristics of lust and fornication and we if we want to ssee our waters clear and experience peace, light, self-control and clarity we have to work on dissolving and reducing lust and fornication. All the dirt and pollution in our waters comes from the wrong use of the sexual energy in the past. We also clean the waters with transmutation.

General Meaning

In the general sense it means all the opposite of the significance of the clear waters.

Rough Waters

Work Meaning

Rough waters mean that we have our sexual energy in a excited, agitated state in which are losing some control over it. Any dreams with rough waters should be taken seriously and we should proceed to calm our sexual energy, because it can very easily become harmful for us and our work. You know the Divine Law only allows a certain agitation of the waters, after a limit we fall into disrepute with the Law and we fall into Karmic debt.

It could also in very specific one off occasions be about the test of water especially if we were thrown into the rough waters.

General Meaning

In the general sense it is not all that good, it means mental agitation, social agitation, turbulent events in your life and very agitated emotional states. It is advisable to keep calm, practice meditation, lay low and overall seek calm, self-restraint and do not provoke incidents and reactions from people.

Rising Waters

Work Meaning

Seeing waters rise in dreams is an indication that our level of sexual energy is increasing and we have to take care and transmute more to keep the level from rising to high where it will be too much for us to handle and we will commit the error of spilling it.

General Meaning

The general meaning is that the pace, complication, excitement, energy level of our life is increasing and it can be overwhelming. Some caution in the way we behave is in order.

Conclusion

Dreams with water in them are very important for the Gnostic and people in their life, because water is life and it is a very primordial element in life, without it we are all dead. So it should be taken very seriously when we see the element of water in our dreams because it is saying something about our life, and about our sexual energy which is also our life, as it created us and is the only thing that transforms us for the better or for the worse.

Awakening Kundalini in the Practice of Alchemy (215)

After Transmutation

Remember that when practicing Alchemy there are three stages, the first is to transmute, the second is to work in the awakening of the Kundalini and the third is to work in the dissolution of the ego.

So, once the couple have transmuted the couple can then if they havn’t awakened the Kundalini they can work in the awakening of the Kundalini. Once again it is advisable to have transmuted before and to have felt the effect of the transmutation, that is one has felt that the energy has been moved up the spine, through the brain and into the heart and one feels more in control of their energy because it has been moved, the reservoir of sexual energy is not as full.

Awakening the Kundalini

It is said in Gnosis that the Kundalini only awakens with the practice of Alchemy. This means that the Kundalini can awaken while practicing Alchemy or when the person is not practicing Alchemy. What I mean by the latter is that the person still practices Alchemy but the moment when the Kundalini awakens can be while the person is meditating or washing the dishes or watering the garden.

It is important to know that a single person can not awaken the Kundalini, however in Gnosis we know about some exceptions where their Master raises their Kundalini and that is very rare and if it did not happen to Master Samael and so many of the others who had to practice the Alchemy for years to awaken the Kundalini it is most likely not going to happen to you if you are single and you are not a missionary or you are not making very intense sacrifices in the work of the three factors, i.e. mystical death and helping humanity.

The Practice

After transmuting the couple can then chant the mantra KAN DIIL BAN DIL R to work in the awakening of the Kundalini. It is very useful to pray to the Divine Mother before chanting the mantra, and also during and after the mantra. Begging her to awaken in your coccyx, begging her to direct the transmuted energy into the sleeping serpent Kundalini so to awaken it, beg her to direct or make that the lunar and solar currents surging through your coccyx to produce a spark which is the beginning of the serpentine Kundalini fire, which will later grow and ascend up your spinal column. Beg her to bring her special sulphur or fire that will ignite the transmuted energy and produce the awakening of the fire.

Conclusion

So after transmuting, not straight into the practice but after some time of transmutation beg the Divine Mother to awaken in your coccyx and chant the mantra KAN DIL BAN DIL R. This mantra was given to Master Samael by the Angel Aroch as the best mantra to awaken the Kundalini.

Student: The Being is not Real for Me – Part 2 (221)

Introduction

This post continues from post number 220, it contains a question and an answer. The questions were asked by a student who decided in the end to leave his Gnostic studies and the answers are from a Gnostic instructor.

Question 2 or Issue 2

I agree that behind me coming to and Gnosis finding me was my being, I don't have a clear or even a vague idea of what my thoughts or actions should be in regards to my being, but I do know that my karma is dictating every second of my life at present like my whole existence has been under that direction. I wait to see what next unfolds.

Answer 2

We are meant to care for your soul the same as we care for ours. Ultimately your soul, my soul, his soul, her soul are all one in the Absolute. About our relationship to the Being the point where I start at, is with gratitude, I thank my Being for giving me life, for all the things in my life that I feel happy about, and also all the things in my life that I am sad about, because they are opportunities to correct things and transform them into more happiness. The things in your life, like health, food, friends, family, house, city, the ability to go for a walk on Sunday morning and feel fine and refreshed are all of the Being. To enjoy the things of life comes from Him.

You know you are the Being already, the presence that you have in the world, in creation is the Being, you are being here, you are existing here, you are being, living, existing, present, so you are the Being, only that we have some part of Him (if we can call the Being Him, because He is really a source of life energy and consciousness) or it that is free (free essence) and other parts that are conditioned (egos) and we have to free those parts from there conditioning and then the Being will be 100% free to be the Being and we will be free to do as He wishes. We are the Being already only that some parts of Him are conditioned and limit Him and make us suffer. We first of all have to accept that, that we are Him and that it is not so sensational or exciting or such a big deal.

The truth is that we are all under Karma, however Karma has left a door slightly open for us to be able to found our way out. You know right now reading this email you have the door slightly open. It is hard to lift the roof of karma off from our heads but straight away but with consistent work on ourselves we can do it, bit by bit, we just need some time.

I don't think there is any other way to lift the karma off of ourselves, than by either working on ourselves, serving others or by feeling lots of pain and suffering.

Once again we care for you and your soul and we are here.

Student: The Being is not Real for Me – Part 1 (220)

Introduction

This post contains a question and an answer. The questions were asked by a student who decided in the end to leave his Gnostic studies and the answers are from a Gnostic instructor.

Question 1 or Complaint 1

Do I feel my Being ? I think I feel something- Do I have interaction with it ?- I don't feel it and thus I don't feel it exists in me. It may be there for you but not for me. That is why I will not be returning.

Answer 1

Just thinking about your email, I respect what you say I certainly take what you said with respect.

What I would like to say if I may, is that you are right in that the Being is hard to see and feel.

The Being is so natural and normal in us that it is so hard to realize that we have one. Anyhow that is our work to slowly and gradually bit by bit realize this very subtle presence in ourselves.

I think though very respectfully that behind you coming to Gnosis was Him, in every breath that you take He is there bringing that magical force of life into you. That special force or stream of life running through you is Him, behind your inquietudes was and is Him and even behind your doubts is Him. Why behind your doubts - because He may well want you to find Him and so He gives you the doubt for you to clear them with the truth of your experience.

The Being is not easy to find and it requires some dedication and practice just as does anything in life. It takes a person 7 years of hard work to be a Doctor, with a good amount of practice we can find the Being, a good question is for how long have we tried to find the Being? You never how close we are we could be as is said in so many stories, just one step away and then we give up.

Anyhow, just something to think about, we have always want the best for your soul, though with respect for your wishes.

About Dream Interpreting in the Gnostic Light (219)

Introduction

Dreams are sometimes difficult to interpret because they contain a big mixture of elements, some of which can be interpreted in according to the Gnostic pattern of things and some elements in the common sense universal pattern of things and some that are particular and are for the person who has the dream to work out, that is, they are created by the mind of the person who has the dream and to interpret them requires the interpreter to know the person's life and psychology.

Vivid Dreams

Vivid dreams usually have a mixture of elements but they are worth meditating on to decipher because a vivid dream has to have some significance.

Some Dream Symbols Interpreted in the Gnostic Light

University or Studying

In a dream being at a university or studying are good signs and they mean that you are learning about esotericism and the white lodge has their eye on you wanting at some point to test you.

Congratulated

Being congratulated usually in the Gnostic light means that you have been through some trials or difficult times and you have passed through and have done relatively well. It could mean that a test has been passed.

Animals

Small animals that are cute can be egos that are weak and are more or less harmless to our path but can be a bother but they are not a major danger for the path if we keep them under control.

Dogs

Dogs for example are usually indicative of the sexual impulse or force, but could mean other things depending on the person.

Numbers

The number 8 is interesting as it means patience, justice, suffering and tests, which is what some difficult periods of our life can be a lot about. It may mean also that you have to organize certain things and forces in your life.

The number 7 means triumph and also a lot of mental fights.

Colours

Black and white is duality the two forces and that is perfect when it comes to the sexual force because it can be used in two ways and until we purify the sexual force by eliminating the ego there is the mixture of two forces.

International People

An international competition indicates a test or trial that is common to many people and not so particular that is, it is a trial or test at the beginning of the path where many people are subjected to at once. The tests at later points in the path are more particular. The minor initiations are very particular and the major initiations are very much more particular and only the person or a two if that are tested.

Dream Ending

Usually the way a dream starts and ends are related. Connecting the two together reveals to us the lesson or message of the dream.

For example, say someone has a dream where they take something that was not theirs or they do not say the real situation about things, it could mean that in life you have to look deeply into things to understand the deeper reality behind what happens in life and to accept what we have and our role in life and not take or do things that are not ours or do not correspond to us.

Conclusion and Other People’s Interpretations of our Dreams

The interpretations of our dreams done by other people are definitely not 100% the right ones, they will contain some ideas or pointers that you can use to interpret your dream and get to your own conclusion because it will be much more meaningful for you and to your life.

Getting Real when it Comes to Past Lives (218)

Introduction

We secretly wish that we were someone great in the past and your hear so many people say that they were Christ or Buddha or someone great. The truth of the matter is that, there was only one Buddha or Christ or Julius Caesar and so there can not be ten people running around on Earth who were Julius Caesar in the past. It just can’t be.

Well perhaps the soul that was Julius Caesar was divided into fractions and now inhabits several bodies, however if we were to get to know these people who claim to be Julius Caesar they may not even exhibit any of his qualities. Those sort of people are usually the mythomaniac or megalomaniac types, those pseudo esotericists that think the world of themselves, or at least don’t think realistically about themselves. They may have been told that is who they were in the past by some clairvoyant or healer or channelled source and they believe it without even knowing whether it is for real true or not.

Fantasy and Past Lives

To think that you were such and such a great person is fantasy, because when you do discover or remember some of your past lives you will see them as very natural and you will recognise yourself back then as you are now.

You will observe the some psychological flavour, the same secret desires, the same way of seeing people and looking at the world and the same overall feeling. Even the same likes and dislikes etc.

To think that you were someone great in many lives of your past is fantasy and this is why.

You know when it comes to past lives we were up and then we were down. We go from being a person living in the street to a person living in a well-to-do household and area, and it is even true that what we are today is because we were that in the past and what we were in the past is the opposite of what we are today because we learnt a very painful lesson.

Conclusion

The best is to experience through unearthing the subconscious during meditation practiced when we are drowsy or by the consciousness itself or through dreams about our past lives. Our insights about our past lives have to also corroborate with recorded history and be realistic according to the character traits that we have or exhibit now.

Solitude What is It? (216)

Introduction

Solitude is something that we all pass through at some point in our life. It could be when we don’t have any one around us or it could be when we are surrounded by family and friends.

The first type of solitude is the easy one to deal with and is the one that is more easily fixed. The other type is the one that does not make much sense because it is something very internal and deeply seated within us.

We usually feel that inner loneliness at certain periods of our life, especially when we are going through some difficulty or when we are undergoing a change or going through some sort of a transition.

Internal Solitude

When we feel alone it is because we are separated from something, whether it be real physical people or whether it be something within us. So when we miss someone or something it is because there is some distance between that which we miss and ourselves.

When we are going through a difficulty we see others so happy and we are not and so we feel different and lower than them and so this feeling creates a distance and what we want is someone to come and help us and support us through the difficulty, that is great and that is such a help and support but what we really want to accompany us is our own wisdom, force and strength and comfort.

We feel basically alone when we are lacking in our relationship with ourselves or in Gnostic language when we are lacking in the relationship with our interior Being. We feel far and not quite good enough to be close and nourished by our interior Being.

When we are alone we feel some sort of rejection as well, we are not so close and intimate with the Being or with someone else. If we were completely filled and fused with our interior Being we would not feel any type of solitude at all.

Spiritual Related

Sometimes when we feel ourselves in creation, that is thrown into creation we feel abandoned by our Being left only to suffer death, sickness and old age.

Conclusion

To combat loneliness, this type of inner solitude we have to open up ourselves to be closer to our real Being. Make an effort of your heart to warm up to your Being and pray with infinite trust and express all that you have inside with honesty. Most important of all is to trust in your Being, trust that He/She/It will provide you with what you need.

Expecting Intimate Care from Others (215)

Introduction

Sometimes we can observe a certain desire within ourselves and it is like this desire wants that we be intimately cared for and looked after. We want that someone love us very intimately in their heart and that they love us even more than they love their own selves or look after themselves. This sounds pretty selfish from the outside but it is very honestly something that we feel.

This desire comes to us from time to time and it can even be with us all the time if things in our relationship are not going well.

A Question we have to Ask Ourselves

A question pops up when we are feeling these things that I have outlined in the above introduction, and it is: What about us taking care of someone else in that way? “Can we expect someone to really love us more than they love themselves?”

Answers

Well the answer to those questions is yes and no. We can love someone that way, taking care of their intimate needs (but in balance not to our detriment), and we can’t really expect in reality someone to love us more than they love ourselves.

So we can control how we love, how we give but not how and what we receive. That is something that we often make the mistake in thinking that we control how we are loved and that is where a lot of our problems come from.

There is the Problem

The problem there is really our mistake to expect that someone can love us more than they love themselves.
However being realistic about this does not really help all that much, well it helps us to understand that we are being very selfish, over-selfish and unrealistic I would say, but the desire is still there.

Quenching this Desire

This desire can be quenched by ourselves doing what this desire is really asking for and that is give up on others taking care of ourselves intimately and do it for them and do it for ourselves.

From the Gnostic point of view we would say to take very intimate care of your Being and His or Its destiny and well-being. The more we love our Being and take care of Him/Her/It the more love will come to us.

When we are wanting love from others we are forgetting ourselves and we are being mean to our intimate real Being inside us.

To take care of your Being is to take care of yourself because you come from Him and in the very end you are Him.

Self-love is something real but the self-love we have is the love of ourselves through the eyes of others, or in other technical words love for ourselves in relativity and duality.

Conclusion – Actually Taking Intimate Care of your Being

If you pray with loving words and you do all that you can for your Being during the day you are taking intimate care of Him. If you talk to Him opening your heart, expressing your worries and concerns you are being honest, trusting, loving and intimate with yourself and your Being.

Maybe that is what this desire is driving you to achieve and to do.

End (215).

Don’t Make Any Decisions in Pain (214)

When in Pain

When in pain, due to having failed in something, or because something such as a relationship is not going well, we can be pressed by others or more over by our own selves to make a decision.

We usually are on the verge of deciding to “throw in the towel”, on a superficial level regarding some details or on a larger scale, giving up all together.

In Pain is Not the Best Time for Decisions

When we are in pain this is most certainly not the best time to make any kind of decision. I think we have all made this mistake or have at least seen others making this mistake before. Usually when we make a decision based in pain the end result is not good, by experience things don’t really work out. We may even have to spend costly amounts of time to reverse the effects of our bad decision made in pain.

Just Wait a While

If only we can wait a short while for the pain that we are feeling to pass and then re-consider the decision that we were going to make, most of the time we find that we don’t have to make any kind of decisions at all.

Conclusion

So if you ever find yourself in pain and impulsed from inside to make a certain decision, I strongly suggest that you wait until the pain passes and you are in a better internal state and then consider the decision that you were wanting to make.

Two Types of Destiny (213)

Introduction

There are two types of destiny or well actually three where the third is a mixture of or a hybrid of the original two types.

Basically everyone is born with one type and only with conscious efforts can we change to the second type.
These two types of destiny are called: mechanical destiny (common to all human beings) and conscious destiny (a destiny forged by the consciousness, soul or Being of the person).

This post describes these two destinies.

Mechanical Destiny

Our mechanical destiny is the one that has been forged by our past and our karmic debts and by the mechanical elements that we have within our psychology.

We are primarily mechanical creatures and so our reactions and behaviours can be predicted and because of that our whole life can be predicted. So then because of the egos that we have especially the causal egos (because they set up circumstances in our life) our life marches along a pre-set line, a line that basically we set up because we are mechanical and one which the Divine Law sets up.

The Divine Law basically set the various events that come to our life. They set up how much scarcity and abundance there will be in our life. They set up the various good and bad opportunities that will come our way in life. However they program our life so that we pay the karmic debts that we have.

One element of the conscious destiny is to be able to pay off our debts consciously and be able to negotiate their payment.

Conscious Destiny

The conscious destiny is one set by the work oneself and by our inner Being. The conscious destiny has our real Being at the centre and his realisation. There of course may also be the mission that He wishes to carry out.

When we create fully our conscious destiny the Being is in charge of our life and He decides when we are to die physically, essentially the Being in us has defeated death, She – death can do us no harm, She does not come to us when She wants or when the Law says that She has to come to us. She comes to us when the Being in us decides.

This is the triumph of Atman in us. The Being or Atman in charge of His universe, we are all a universe in miniature.

That is really marvellous isn’t it. That should be our most urgent yearning, to die in ourselves to give way to our inner Being to take over! We as we are do not have much future and we do not have much to offer the Being either. Only with our death do we conquer death it is said!

Conclusion

In conclusion, we certainly have one destiny, and if we are studying Gnosis we have a mixture of the mechanical and the one set by the Being in accordance with the Divine Law, and really it is up to us now to continue following this new line of destiny by working on ourselves and eventually fully create the conscious destiny set by your real Being.

The more we work on ourselves and help humanity spiritually the more we create, shape and set this new conscious destiny.

How to Transmute in the Practice of Alchemy (212)

Introduction

There are three very stages of the practice of Alchemy. They are:

1.            Transmutation.
2.            Work in the awakening of Kundalini.
3.            Elimination of the ego.

Transmutation

Here is a technique that is very useful to transmute. This technique can be used in the practice of Alchemy and in the transmutation for single people known by the name vajroli mudra.

Step1

Both parties individually or together to concentrate on the Divine Mother asking that She assists each one in the practice and that the transmuted energy is taken by Her and used for our internal esoteric work, namely for the creation of the solar bodies, for the awakening of Kundalini and for the elimination of the ego.

It is very important that you have your goal for practicing the Alchemy clear in your mind and heart.

Step2

As soon as both sexual centres are aroused and are in the appropriate state for the practice of Alchemy, the sexual connection can be made. It is to be made slowly and with great care, with both parties being very vigilant and alert while the connection is being made.

Step3

Once the connection has been established then both parties can begin to transmute.

This can be done by using this technique which is helpful because it occupies the mind fully and makes it quite easy for the person to notice and discard the thoughts of lust. It also diverts ones attention from the sexual organs and sensations thus allowing one much more control over the sexual organs during the practice of Alchemy.

Begin chanting the mantra IAO and then imagine and feel the energy rising up your spine entering your brain and then descending to enter and reside in your heart. As soon as you have finished one IAO raise a finger on one of your free hands. This is to count your mantras.

Then alternate your mantra by chanting INRI, imaging the energy rising entering yoyur brain and heart and then when done raise a second finger, keeping count of the number of mantras you are doing.

Then go back to IAO, imagine the energy rising as before and raise the third finger.

Repeat this until all five fingers are raised on one hand then start again repeating this cycle of five vocalisations.

After you develop a good level of concentration you may not need to use this technique, it is best used when starting the practice for a few minutes or when your concentration is not so good or if you are a total beginner to the practice of Alchemy.

Conclusion

Please standby for further posts on the awakening of Kundalini in the practice of Alchemy and the elimination of the ego in the practice of Alchemy.

Definition of Destiny (211)

Destiny

When we think of destiny we always think of some sort of end, goal or objective, and a series of events, happenings and occurrences that take us to that final end or goal.

Pre-Determination

Destiny implies some sort of programming or pre-determination of events in our life. We say in Gnosis that everyone has a destiny, without exception; there is a plan for everyone’s life.

Because of destiny or rather because of the final end of destiny the events in our life are pre-determined or programmed according to or by virtue of this end. The end that destiny that takes us to determines the nature of the events that we pass through in the path of life.

Every Human Being has a Destiny

Everyone has a mechanical destiny. Without exception, everyone is born with their destiny laid out before them. The end or goal or objective of a person’s mechanical destiny is death. It however, may also be to achieve the purpose of our life and once this has been achieved our life’s destiny is not complete until we have fulfilled our death.

There are two types of destiny. One is the mechanical destiny and the other is the destiny set by our interior divinity. Please note, the posts to follow this one will expand upon these two types of destinies.

Conclusion

Written in the great book of death whom the angels of death have access to, is our destiny, there instructions on how and when our death is to occur are written, and written in our book of life or book of karma, that is held amongst the annals of the Divine Law are the events of our life that are shaped by our final destiny.

Our book of life and karma in the last moments is handed over to become an entry in the great book of death, where our destiny is made complete., and whee the last action of our life is carried out.

A Series of Posts on Destiny and Death (210)

Introduction

The following series of posts will cover the topics of destiny, karma, death, causal “I’s” and the revolution of consciousness as the path to forging our new destiny, which is the destiny forged by the hands of our interior Divinity.

Conclusion

We have our mechanical destiny already laid out before us, but we have the chance at creating, authoring our very own new destiny, one that taking us to the new, the unknown and beyond death and all that we can presently imagine.

Worry for the Day not the Big Picture (209)

Introduction

We usually see the title of this post the other way around, that is don’t worry about the details but worry about the bigger picture instead. This post is about how to worry while we are working on ourselves. It is a very strange thing, but sometimes it happens that things in life are one way but in the path or in the work on oneself they are the opposite.

It Happens that the Big Picture is Out of Our Control

So it happens in the work on ourselves that we can get very worried about whether we are going to make it or not, that is get our self-realisation or rather whether the Being in us will get His/Her self-realisation or not.

We may see that we are single or that we can not surpass certain delays or obstacles in our life and we may be stuck and because of these things we may see that we will not make it or our Being will not make it. We may be sick, we may be in a relationship that is not useful for our spiritual work and we may not have a way out. And so in these circumstances it is very difficult to not worry about our future, the future in terms of the bigger picture that is!

To worry about the bigger picture concerning our self-realisation sometimes or actually most of the time is not useful and all it amounts to is a waste of our time and energies. We really can’t do much about it, because so much of it is in the hands of our Being. All that we can worry about or be concerned about is what we can actually do or influence and you know what? That turns out to be this day, this moment right now! We can do something about this day!

Worry About How the Day has been Lived Instead!

The result of worrying uselessly over the future or the bigger picture leads one to conclude that all we can control or change or modify is this moment and this day.

Actually if we always do our best in any moment and in any given day we will secure our future. The sincere efforts of the day and of the moment bring about a positive and hopeful future.

We need faith in our Being and in our work that it will modify or rather create a positive future where there is the great hope for the self-realisation of our Being.

Conclusion

In the end all that we can be concerned over is the day or the moment, to live our day giving always our best is what we can do and that trusting in the sincerity of our efforts will create a positive future. After all, all that we have is this moment, and we don’t know what our Being has in store for us and what His plans are. He may be waiting and then accelerate like crazy or He may have a very long term plan and whatever crazy effort we make will only disturb his plans.

Anyway hope this helps and puts you at ease somewhat especially if you have been like me worrying excessively over the future and the bigger picture.

As Soon as We Settle on Chastity Doors Open (208)

Introduction

This message of this post is that when we stop our fighting, whether it be internal or external, and settle or come to be at peace with chastity or transmutation within us, the door or doors that was or were previously closed open.

Implications

Observing or seeing this happen in your internal and external life, shows us the power of chastity, in that the transmutation of sexual energies is one that really takes us towards our interior Real Being, and of course conversely if we are not transmuting how far it takes us from our interior Divinity and how it closes the doors to Him/Her/It.

Conclusion

A good practice of transmutation is really instrumental in dying in the ego of fornication and it is also a good or decent step toward our Being. However, with the proviso that we do not let the ego in to gobble up or expend all the new transmuted energy that we have in our system.

Some FAQ Regarding Gnosis (207)

In Gnosis do I have to Follow Anyone?

No! The person (V.M Samael Aun Weor) who revived through much personal experience and the study of past cultures and doctrines, and also to whom we owe the Gnostic knowledge that we have today, always asserted in many of his talks, that he did not want followers and that the sign post or the guide which we may follow always points within.

Is Gnosis Universal?

Following on from a previous answer that described Gnosis as experience and the knowledge gained by it, we can say that Gnosis is present wherever there is experience. So Gnosis is then present in our everyday life no matter where we are and who we are (our background, our religion, our nationality etc.). In this sense ‘Gnosis’ is universal.

Esoteric experience is something that anyone irrespective of their colour, creed, class and sex can have. The nature and quality of experience may vary from individual to individual. Though most importantly esoteric (spiritual) experience, is open to anyone and everyone, provided they apply sincerely and truly the teachings, keys and practices taught to them.

Is Gnosis a Study of Everything?

Gnosis could well be a study of everything, though being practical and keeping to the way Gnosis is transmitted in the Gnostic Society, the answer to this question is no. Even though science, philosophy, art and mysticism are the four main aspects or pillars of Gnosis, here in Perth and in many other places where Gnosis is studied we are primarily interested in the human being, especially the psychological and esoteric or spiritual side of the human being.

What is Gnosis (206)

Gnosis and Gnosticism

Owing to the studies of the “Dead Sea Scrolls” and the works of Dan Brown such as the “Davinci Code”, ‘Gnosis’ and ‘Gnosticism’ are words that for people have become associated with the beliefs and practices of the early Christians. Yes, there is some truth to that, but Gnosis in itself is something much more profound and diverse than that. Put very simply, Gnosis is a word used to point to the knowledge that one gains through the direct and intimate experience with the truth. Whether the experienced truth be something very profound pertaining to the mysteries of life and death for example, or something simple and known already by many.

Gnosis as a School

Depending on the context, ’Gnosis’ can be seen to have several different meanings. In a general context ‘Gnosis’ has the meaning of that which has already been mentioned, which is knowledge through direct experience. In a more specific context ‘Gnosis’ is the knowledge that provides the keys for an individual to awaken consciousness and liberate him/herself from the terrible cycles of suffering. Finally, in a very physical and human context , ‘Gnosis’ is a school that provides the knowledge, practices and support, for students to advance in their path towards the awakening of consciousness and liberation.

Practical Side of Gnosis

In the very practical human side of things Gnosis is an esoteric knowledge that is taught, and when sincerely applied creates self-knowledge, which at the same time is revelation, insight and the newly acquired ability to modify our internal and external life.

Summary

Gnosis in summary, is the fruit of direct experience, it is also a school, and it is the knowledge to free the soul from so much ignorance and suffering.

In-Depth Contact with Our Psychology (205)

Introduction

I think what is so important in the work on oneself is the in-depth contact with our psychology. We usually have a very superficial contact with our psychology and this type of contact or acquaintance does not really help or transform us, but the deep knowledge of ourselves really transforms us, and that is the one that is worthwhile making efforts to attain.

Unsatisfied

One may really feel unsatisfied with their day when one has not made deep contact with their psychology. When one does not have deep contact with their psychology they feel a certain lacking and a missing out on something.

In-Depth Knowledge is Satisfying

The in-depth knowledge of our ourselves is self-discovery and revelation which leads to transformation and also to comprehension and satisfaction.

To have in-depth contact with ourselves is to probe our subconscious and to shed light onto our own darkness. It is essentially to bring light into our darkness and this is our duty. Our duty is two-fold to make our light shine and to fulfill our duty of creating the solar bodies.

Making our Light Shine

The more light we create the more we make our light shine. The way to increase our light is to shed our light onto the darkness within our psychology and make the darkness light. This is done in many ways, but one very simple way to do it is to ask ourselves deep questions about what we have just observed within ourselves (a thought, an emotion) in a given moment.

How can we Increase Our Light?

Ask yourself, is it really true, then invert the thought bringing the topic of the thought back to you. Then that is where we gain insight about our self. This is excellent or marvellous when we have a thought, a critical thought about another person and then we invert the thought and bring it back to ourselves and apply the thought to ourselves. We usually discover that we are the ones with the issue or problem.

Conclusion

My advice is to always seek during your day an in-depth contact with yourself, with your psychology that is. Ask yourself deep questions about what you observe as to whether it is true or not. Then invert the thought onto yourself to see how the thought applies to us and not really to others, that is where the big discoveries are made.

Once we have made a discovery we can go deeper into that aspect of our self, inquiring deeply into it. I sincerely hope this post inspires you to do this. The in-depth knowledge of our self is really very satisfying.

Daily Review (204)

Very Useful to Review our Day

It is very useful to do a review of our daily life. It helps us to keep up to date with what is happening within ourselves, psychologically and esoterically. It also helps us to keep our work in order.

The Practice

This practice of reviewing our day is to check-in within ourselves, to come home so to speak. When we do check-in with ourselves we see our inner urgencies, and these are the things that we should tackle first.

Inner Urgencies

Our inner urgencies are usually things that we do not understand about ourselves. They are usually egos that have a desire, a complaint or protest within us that we do not understand.

When all of our forces are outside of ourselves, it is difficult to check-in within ourselves and review our day.

What do we Find when we Check-in with Ourselves?

What do we find? Lust, pride, regret, unfulfilled desires, the lament over the past, dread of the future.

Strong Desires

Some desires that are so strong that we think we may not be able to resist. These strong desires produce division in us. We have such a strong desire in the ego and a strong desire in the work on ourselves that we get divided. If we decide for the work we feel that we are missing out on something big and we feel regret, lament and some pain. Well it is the ego that feels that pain.

Eternal Principle of the Work on Ourselves

The principle always stands, the work always makes us happier, will fulfilling that desire make us happier? If that desire is lust, it will not really make us happier will it? From previous experiences we ended up crying, how can lust make us happier?

Some Points on Anger III (203)

Point 21

Anger damages our internal vision or clairvoyance. “Blinded by anger” is a common saying.

Point 22

Anger releases a certain poison called imperil into the blood which in turn damages our imagination or clairvoyance.

Point 23

There are three types of anger: physical or of the body, word and mind.

Point 24

We get angry when others come to us that have the same level of the being as us and we allow our subconscious to connect to theirs. Anger is very contagious.

Point 25

There is a red line or a limit related to anger. If we go pass this anger we get loose control and act instinctively and reason, love, respect etc. are all gone. Anger is in full control of the human machine.

Point 26

Anger does not have a goal, the other egos behind it, have the goal.

Point 27

To avoid anger we need to solve the situation without a mental process, because, anger exists or manifests on the level of the mental processes. We should also ask the Being to remove any obstacle.

Point 28

Anger has hatred within it.

Point 29

Anger leads us to misuse the word.

Point 30

Anger has a particular use of the word. Some of the signs that anger is using our word are definite, radical, extreme statements, swearing, cursing, ill-will, loud volume, harsh or sharp tone etc.

Point 31

The loss of the sexual energy makes one angry. This is because we lack the force of the sexual energy. Anger also comes from a sense of impotence or powerlessness.

Point 32

Anger in association with pride leads us to commit injustice. This is because pride is the ego that tries to restore the balance or it is the conditioned sense of the dignity and justice of the Being. When pride uses anger being conditioned it goes against others and creates more unbalance and the therefore injustice.

End (203).

Some Points on Anger II (202)

Point 11

The other egos don’t have the force, rather anger has the force and the other egos rely on the force of anger to have their desire, goal or invested interest fulfilled.

Point 12

Force exists to accomplish things and surmount obstacles. That is the legitimate role of force in creation. We all need force in life as well as for the endeavours of the spirit.

Point 13

The role of force in relation to the essence is to protect the essence and to provide it with the impulse to accomplish or achieve its goals.

Point 14

There are two ways of working on anger. The first way is to eliminate the obstacle. The second way is to sacrifice the desire for the goal. The first way targets anger and the second way targets the ego behind anger.

Point 15

As soon as the obstacle in front of the goal is removed anger disappears.

Point 16

A person without anger will surmount obstacles using force but not violence or force that goes against themselves or others. Their force is free, not conditioned.

Point 17

There is the use of imagination to remove the obstacle: in the negative sense (anger) and in the positive sense (wisdom, consciousness).

Point 18

What we can’t get with conviction or reason we get with corrupted force which is violence. That is why we get angry because need force to convince others to solve the problem in our particular way.

Point 19

Anger damages our image before ourselves and others.

Point 20

Anger does not take into account cause and effect. It blinds us to the effects of the actions of anger.

End (202).

Some Points on Anger I (201)

Introduction

The following three posts are a list of some salient points on the very human characteristic of anger, or in Gnostic terms the ‘I’ of Anger.

These points if considered carefully will help you to better understand how anger works in the human being. And understanding always brings a change in us, a change in our perception and what is the most important of all a change in our actions.

So I end this introduction, wishing the best in your studies of anger and may these 32 points provide you with light on anger so that you can become free of it.

Point 1

Anger is the protector of the structure of the ego (it never comes alone).

Point 2

It is impossible to get angry without words and thoughts (we can’t get angry without thoughts, words and concepts).

Point 3

It is principally the use of force to remove an obstacle.

Point 4

Anger always has a goal or an objective.

Point 5

Desire is present in every manifestation of anger (anger is an effect ego, the ego behind the anger is the cause ego, which is some sort of desire).

Point 6

The stronger the ego behind anger the stronger the anger will be.

Point 7

There is no anger without a sense of loss, harm, damage, disadvantage, injustice, breach of safety etc.

Point 8

Anger comes when the essence or consciousness in us perceives a void or a lack of force.

Point 9

Anger is a lack of conviction (it lacks reason or truth, it uses force as a reason, and lacks the force of reason).

Point 10

Anger is the conditioned use of force that becomes violence. The force in anger is conditioned by relativity and duality. As anger is the force used to remove obstacles and as it is conditioned force, it uses force against others or sometimes ourselves to remove that obstacle. Our essence uses force but in an intelligent way that does not harm ourselves and others.

The Various Logics of the “I’s” (200)

Quest for the Light Truth

The quest is to find the truth, the light truth that sets you free and is the balm for the essence. It is also that which removes the ego, and exposes it as false. That wisdom or piece of light gives us an enormous relief in relation to the death of the ego.

Finding the Light Truth

The way to find the truth is to see the ego as false and to see its logic as false. The perception and the logic are the same. We perceive according to the logic. The perception and the logic support each other 100%. If we change the logic or the way of thinking we won’t perceive things in the same way.

Various Logics

Here below are some egos with their logic clearly expressed. I sincerely hope to write more about this subject. Because when one knows the logic of the ego they are close to be able to end the fight with that ego.

Self-consideration

I should be thought of and asked and considered. They should wait for me, they should have asked me, they should have left that for me, they should see that I am having a hard time right now and give me a break, etc.

Greed

I can’t waste this opportunity, it is a chance to get more, I can not let it slip past. It is worth it.

Lust

Something will happen, the possibility of pleasure coming true. It will be pleasant, relaxing, agreeable and pleasurable. Pain, and difficult and costly consequences do not exist.

End (200).

When Separating from the ‘I’ is Difficult (199)

Thought

Thought takes us to identify with the ego, so it is the concepts and the thoughts that really hypnotise. The logic, the reasons and the sense of importance and the false sense of oneness is what hypnotise us.

Self-Love for Example

Self-love is about something that is not fair. It is all about what is unfair.

Counteracting directly the logic of the ego allows the reason for it to be in our human machine to be brought to light and when we see the reason we can dispel the ego especially when we know that the reason is petty or false.

When the confrontation of the ego’s logic is successful in the region of the mind then the ego lives in, for example if the ego is bothering you from region 40 and your understanding only goes to region 30. Sorry we have to suffer.

End (199).

Comprehension of the Different “I’s” (198)

Comprehension

Comprehension is when we go to face the logic of the ego. Comprehension arises in us when we go to comprehend the ego and confront or question the logic of the ego.

What do We Use within us to Arrive at Comprehension?

We have to come to find the logic of the ego as false. We use the wisdom of the consciousness to do this and we also use the love of the consciousness.

We should really use both, wisdom and love working together in harmony, one supporting and complimenting the other. They are the radical transforming agents in the consciousness that help us to change and to die.

End (198).

The Separation from the Different “I’s” (197)

The Various Logic of the “I’s”

Each “I” has its particular logic. When do we need separation? Only when the ego is in the human machine do we need to separate our consciousness from it.

Identification

When we are identified with the ego it is in our human machine. There is no other way than this that it can happen. Why do I say this, because the one that lives or had the proper, full and authentic right to be in the human machine is the essence. Though when we make the mistake of joining ourselves, that is with ‘ourselves’ being the consciousness to the ego which is something outside of us it comes into us or into the human machine and we have the ego within our human machine because we made or our consciousness made the mistake of getting identified with it.

The error of identification brings the ego inside us, that is to the human machine. So no identification with the ego, no entrance of the ego into our human machine.

Separation

To be able to separate the ego from consciousness requires that we do it as quickly as possible, before the ego gains too much momentum.

In order to separate the ego we have to activate the consciousness. There are many ways to do that, one is understanding that whatever you think and feel you are you are not. As we have said before separation is really the understating and a state of consciousness that the go is not us and that can be separated from us.

Conclusion

What makes separation difficult is the hypnotic grip of the ego, because that is what keeps the ego in the human machine. The hypnotic grip is the belief in something that is false. Only reality is best and reality brings everything into perspective and instills peace.

Sex is an Enigma that Must be Deciphered (196)

The Mystery

Sex is certainly a great mystery of life. There is so much more to it than just the mere physical aspect. The physical is just one aspect. There is a deep mystery in it, and that mystery is one that pertains to life itself.

Full Picture

This post tries to open us up more to that mystery of sex, and when we are open to that we can think about sex differently, I would say in the correct way, because when we focus on the mere physical side we are only seeing one small aspect and we get things wrong that way just as with anything else in life. We always have to see the full picture to get the correct perspective on something and also most importantly of all to find or see the truth we have to see the full picture of anything, and sex is no exception.

End (196).

The Battle for the Human Being is in Sex (195)

The Battle

This post says that the real battle for the soul of the human being is in sex, well actually it is in rather in our use of sex.

We may think that the battle for the human being is in so many other things but actually it is in sex. There is a reason for this and this post gives the reason, however later posts will expand upon this more and explain more as to why the reason given below is behind this rather bold statement.

The Reason

Simply put the reason is because with the sexual energy the human being can really and truly modify themselves and convert themselves into something different. The sexual force has the power to regenerate us or to degenerate ourselves terribly.

End (195).

Two Sexual Natures in the Human Being (194)

The Two Sexual Natures

This post talks about there being two sexual natures in the human being. The natures basically have to do with the direction of flow of the sexual energy. There is the centrifugal nature and the centripetal nature.

Centrifugal – Down and Out

In the centrifugal nature, which is the nature that all of humanity currently has (there are exceptions, the Gnostic people for one), is where the sexual energy flows down and out, and actually physically leaves the body. This nature is to really good for anything but to degenerate the human being.

Centripetal – In and Up

The other nature called the centripetal nature, is the inward and upward nature, where the sexual energy is transformed and absorbed within the psycho-physiological system of the human being, improving, health, vitality, intelligence, memory and spirituality.
