A Temple - (951)

The Word Temple

The word temple is derived from the Latin word for time, which is tempus.

Why Time

It is very interesting that time has been woven into the word temple.

We all know that a temple is a certain place, even a physical building and it seems that every religion or spiritual/esoteric order has one.

When we are inside a temple one thing that we are invited to abandon is time. That is the time that we use to carry out of all of our earthly duties and deeds.

When we are in a temple time stands still, we are invited to go outside of the past, that is the things that we have done and outside of the future, that is the things that we still have to do.

I say invited because we can enter a temple, any temple in a mechanical way and just stay there day dreaming until it is time to leave.

It is a place where we abandon time to find time for ourselves. We are invited to forget about the mistakes we have made and the duties, commitments and difficulties that we are yet to face in the future, and find time to be with ourselves and what is beyond ourselves.

A temple is a place to take refuge away from the effects of time and enter into our internal space where we find no time.

A temple if we co-operate with it draws us, pulls us inward to find ourselves and then to look for the mystical and spiritual part of ourselves.

When we first withdraw we find our psychological part which we are mostly not very aware in the full flight of our day, yet in the temple we find it and we must cross over the bridge of our psychology to our mystical domain, the domain where the voice of silence waits to be heard.

A temple here in the physical or internal worlds invites us and wishes to take us to our internal temple, where dwells our Being.

Inner Temple

Any temple for us can be a representation of our inner temple or heart temple. When we enter a physical temple or even one in the internal world in astral experiences, it can be the same as us entering our heart temple, and why not.

This means that entering a temple means to enter our heart temple where we can take refuge from time, withdraw from life and its duties and take the journey over the bridge of our psychology to contemplate our inner Being as radiant, as formless, as divine, as a vast mystery and as the origin and source of life and essence or soul and many more things.

Lonely? - (950)

What do Lonely People do?

They work at their jobs a lot and work maybe even a second job, they have many hobbies, they read late at night, they watch heaps of TV and movies, they keep themselves busy downloading useless things that they don’t need, they get engaged in useless issues, they get a dog or a cat, they walk a lot by themselves, they seek people and social engagements, they like to talk a lot, they detain people from being on their way, they feel sad at night and in the mornings and so on and so on. All of this to escape that gaping feeling of loneliness or that feeling of inner solitude or that feeling of inner desolation.

Expecting Something Interesting to Happen

One interesting thing about what lonely people experience, is a feeling of waiting, waiting for something interesting to happen. Maybe there is something coming to their life or maybe it is telling them that they have to make something happen! Forge it blaze the trail become the author of their own destiny make happen what they have always wanted to happen!

A Gift

That void of loneliness that is felt and it can even be felt when you are surrounded by people that love and respect you is a gift because it brings you to yourself quite abruptly and intensely. We have no other recourse then to be with our Being inside of us.

One very wonderful and comforting thing is to be with or to do our best to try to connect with Our Mother, that is the Mother of all of us the Cosmic Mother, the bosom of creation, the womb that held all of us before creation burst forth.

Mantra IO

Meditate on our Cosmic Mother, the primordial power at the dawn of creation and is still now participating in all of creation and holds together with her son the Cosmic Christ the link between all the worlds, systems, planets and beings.

Meditate on that great fabric of unity and chant the mantra IO a very primordial mantra or sound of creation to connect with that great force and energy that links us all.

The mantra AUM is very good also. So is OM MANI PAME HUM as it is for the Cosmic Christ and chanting this mantra and sending help to all the Being in creation is wonderful too, it like connects you to creation and the other beings we share this world with.

Self-Importance makes us Sick in the Head - (949)

Sorry

Sorry about being so rude, I am only writing from experience. I am not targeting anybody (in the whole post) I’m just posting something I have experienced with this ego.

When it Grows

Self-importance when it grows just like every other ego it becomes quite harmful to us and others, and one place that it harms more than any other place is our mental health. Lust for example affects more than anything else our mental and sexual health, and anger - the health of our heart, fear - the health of our stomach and nerves, and so on and so on.

When this ego becomes very big we start to suffer like crazy and think that whatever is said positive or negative is about us or for us, when of course it isn’t.

We think that when a lecturer is talking he or she is talking about us or for us. We, for example see a bus with a message on it or a number on it and we think that it is a special symbol or message for us and we think that people should be taking care of us, thinking of us and doing things for us all the time.

Does not See the Unbalance

With this stupid ego, it is stupid because it does not see that it is unbalanced and the unbalance is the source of its pain, it just wants to receive and receive and this makes it fatter and uglier and increases its sufferings, because it goes against the fundamental law of nature.

Desire to be Important to People

There is that desire in self-importance of wanting to be important to people and that is often an illusion. But we suffer like crazy when we are not taken into account by others. That has to be inverted to what is realer or truer and it is that the Being (which is higher part of ourselves) must be the most important thing to us and not us being the most important to others because we can not be and never will be. We must have the Being ever present in us just as we want others to have us always present.

The secret why we expect this of others is because we do it for or with others and that is the way that we think that we love them and it may be so though others love in different ways and we are projecting our way of loving onto them, which may not be correct. It isn’t correct because it hurts doesn’t it.

The Way our Brains are Ordered in Supra Sexuality - (948)

With Regards to Infra Sexuality

The way infra sexuality begins is by the sexual centre breaking free from the reigns of the two other centres, namely the intellectual and emotional centres.

This breaking away generates certain circumstances that leave their mark in the intellect and the emotion. “I’s” are then created that are complete in the sense that they use the three brains.

Essentially in infra sexuality the sexual centre leads and using the “I’s” of infra sexuality, the emotional and intellectual centres are put to work in favour of the run away sexual centre.

The sexual centre becomes a run away because of many reasons but some of the main one reasons are that the sexual energy accumulates and the egos of lust as they are centrifugal in nature, propose to solve this problem of the intensification of the sexual energy with the accompanying building impulses, sensations and feelings etc. by sending this energy outside by many means.

Even people may use sex for psychological-emotional reasons, that is as a way to get love, or comfort, protection or to be close to a person or as a way to relieve boredom or as a way to get some sort of excitement or novelty.

With Regards to Supra Sexuality

With supra sexuality the sexual centre is not at all a run away. It works in harmony with the intellectual and emotional centres that function in-line with the resolution and goal of drawing closer to our inner Divinity.

Genuine love in the intellect and emotion command and bring the sexual centre into line in supra sexuality.

Supra sexuality also is centralised around the artifice of transmutation which is a conscious act using the emotional and intellectual centres consciously to channel the accumulating sexual energy inwards.

In infra sexuality the intellectual and emotional centres are not used consciously, they are managed and driven by the ego from the subconscious. This is very clear because people do silly things, make silly decisions and are driven against their will, against their fears, against their nerves and against their decency sometimes in infra sexuality.

Conclusion

Lust is characterised by this observation that the sexual centre which is a powerful magnet and engine has the lead, and the most marvellous truth is that the intellectual and emotional centres when full of a superior purpose and genuine love for something (our Being, our work, our spouse etc.) can bring the sexual centre into alignment with it and use its powerful energies and forces to make positive things happen and to move forward towards our inner Being by eliminating the egos, awakening the Kundalini, fabricating the bodies or restoring them etc. etc.

When one loses one's grip on one's goal in the intellectual and emotional centres the sexual centre can become rogue or tend to be that way.

See Yourself in Relation to your Consciousness - (947)

How Others See Us

We don’t have to see ourselves as we think others see us. But in truth that is also the way we see ourselves. We most of the time don’t really know how others see us. When we do know though, ow others see us, that is because they say so or somehow indicate it, we don’t have to see ourselves that way.

In conclusion here what we think others think of us, it is really what we think of others and ourselves. It is really the same thinking process going on all the time though we are just not aware of it.

Everything really is a projection of our own thinking. We don’t know what others think but we project what they are thinking based on what we think. When we don’t project we can see what there is to be seen.

The Right Way to See Ourselves

The right way then to think about ourselves or see ourselves is to see yourself as a consciousness and then to look at yourself through the eyes of your consciousness.

The consciousness does not judge, it just sees what is and see always the reality. The point of view of the consciousness is very far from pessimistic perceptions and points of view and it is very far from fantasy.

How the Knight Tiphereth Fights for His Damsel Geburah - (946)

About Geburah or Buddhi

Note

This description comes from a short talk that my marvellous missionary gave one day, these are my notes.

Geburah

Geburah, She is the messenger of Atman. She is the force of the consciousness. She is so beautiful yet so strong and powerful. She is the power of cognition and the power to shape and express the 'to be'.

Buddhi or Geburah needs to gain the ability to actually shape things here in creation. Buddhi and Manas carry out the conviction of Atman. That is why they are his two legs and also his two souls at the same time.

Tiphereth is also the medieval knight that fights for his lady - Geburah.

This medieval picture of Geburah or Buddhi as a damsel in distress gives us the idea that Buddhi is delicate but she certainly has a strong side, especially as the consciousness. Master Samael said that to withstand the Absolute or the Tallity we need the consciousness to be as strong as a diamond.

She is wisdom, beauty, elegance and strength combined. Just like the Greek Goddesses Athena and Minerva. They are Goddesses of Wisdom and warriors at the same time.

Master Samael on the Two Souls

Excerpt 1

“Atman is the Divine Spirit (an emanation from the Logos). He has two souls, Buddhi and Manas.  It is vital to comprehend this. In the Middle Ages, when the medieval knight departed in order to fight for his lady, it was nothing more than the human soul struggling for the conquest of his Spiritual Soul.

I achieved the comprehension of this when my Real Being took me into the causal world, which is a world of an intense electric blue colour. The King, Atman, the Lord, was seated at a table with a beautiful lady, who was his Spiritual Soul, his Beatrice, his Valkyrie. They were seated in a triangle with the human soul. Atman began to speak and said, "I have two souls, the Spiritual Soul and the human soul, and while the human soul works, the spiritual soul plays and lives happily. This is my doctrine. Thus, we three are one."

We, Atman, Buddhi and Manas were reunited in the Causal world, in that region of causes. So without such experience I could not explain this in a clear way.

Atman unfolds into Buddhi and Buddhi into Manas, just as when we look at ourselves in a mirror.  Thus, the Trinity is created. The Essence is an enfoldment of the Superior Manas. This Essence in its turn is bottled up within the "ego". The awakening of this Essence is the awakening of consciousness, it is to make oneself conscious of the mysteries of life and death. Many want to awaken the consciousness but they abandon the work at any moment. This is why the Maithuna was not communicated to anyone if previously this person did not have an awakened consciousness.”

Excerpt 2

“Divine Spirit - Atman
Human Soul - Manas
Spiritual Soul - Buddhi

The two Souls must be fused; the masculine Human Soul with the Spiritual Feminine Soul. This is not achieved without having previously eliminated the "I", and having eliminated the Body of Desires. The two Souls must be one.

This is the Great Alliance between the knight and the medieval lady. This is found in the books of Cavalry, "El Romancero", in the ballads of Count Roldan, in the Minstrel songs of the Troubadors. The knight who fights for his lady, is the Human Soul. The lady is the Spiritual Soul. The knight has to fight for his lady, otherwise he is left without her.

In order to attain total Illumination the knight and his lady must be completely integrated. The knight must fight for her at any moment, until developing the lotus of 1000 petals. Buddhi gives the Illumination in the great matrimony or alchemical wedding of Manas Buddhi. Without Buddhi, the complete development of the 1000 petaled chakra Sahasrara,  cannot be achieved.”

How Do You Get Your Will Back? - (945)

A Discipline? Not Really!

The way you can get your will back we think is to impose upon ourselves a rigorous discipline that relies on us using our will power to keep it going.

This may help a bit but it fails! This is because we lack motivation, but more importantly because it does not address effectively enough the point of supplying us with more will.

To get our will back we need more will not just to strengthen the will that we have.

So where do you get more will from then?

We get more will by using the little bit of will that we have to stop the things in us that use up or weaken our will.

All these egos use up will, lust especially also pride. Just notice when these egos are active you don’t do anything.

So if you invest the will that you have into stop them from eating or manifesting you will take will from them and get a bit more of your will back and the more you do it the more will you will get.

Don’t Let Thinking Substitute Doing! - (944)

A Buzz

We get a buzz when we fantasise about doing something or being something and that feeling of the buzz or high keeps us dreaming. The emotion that is generated is like a pleasing high but after the fantasy we glimpse reality and come crashing down.

While fantasising we are fine and things seem great but afterwards it is always the same - things crash.

High or Buzz Maintains Fantasy

What keeps us fantasising is that high or buzz that we get in our emotional and intellectual centres, when we dream that we are doing something or being something good.

If we didn’t feel the high or buzz we would stop fantasising! There is a payback for everything even fantasies and thoughts and feelings.

Know Something

Well do you know that if we do, act, carry out, learn, start, live and be we get the same buzz and satisfaction without the crashing down, disillusioned, hopeless feeling that always appears after we fantasizes. This is because it is real and we don’t loose psychic energy which is what happens when we fantasize.

End (944).

Don’t Speak Negatively about yourself because Everyone has Heard it all Before and they Don’t Really Care – Only you Care so Change and Fix yourself up by Yourself! - (943)

We Think Others Should Care

They don’t really, they may listen but deep inside they know that it is an ego complaining and they know that you are better than that and can overcome it and so they don’t mind. They may care a little but not as much as we would like to them to, that is more the case. They care but not as much as we want, and besides there is not too much that they can do without our co-operation anyway, it is ultimately us that gives and applies the solution.

Truth is – Only you Really Care

Only you really care about yourself and about your Being and about getting yourself on track and better in all the senses and improving your psychological work.

Then Fix Yourself up No one Else will do it!

That is the principle of our Being, self-generated, self-transforming, self-realising and so therefore self-healing.

We have all done this and we will all continue to do this. So we have to join the party and do what everyone else does even if it seems cruel, everyone has felt that is cruel too and they all just had to jump up and do it for themselves. That is how it works and that is how our Being works, we and our Being get help but we have to take the most important step which is to want or to will ourselves to get better or to change or to die or achieve a goal.

Will for it and it will happen or the adequate help will come. Willing something moves things in the  causal environment and causes things to happen that help us to make happen what we actually will to happen.

Not Thinking about People doesn’t Hurt Them - (942)

We are Sentimental

We are quite sentimental people and we often think that if we stop thinking about people we are somehow going against them or harming the relationship that we have with them.

Sentimentalism is always corrected by opening ourselves to see the realities and truths that surround us and people.

In Reality

In reality none of the above is true. It in fact is sometimes better to not think about people.

Why?

Because we may not know it but a lot of our thinking towards people even friends is negative. And after not thinking about people we give our system a break where we feel renewed and more enthusiastic to see them, talk to them and spend time with them.

Thinking about them sends telepathic waves that can affect them but not thinking does them no harm at all.

Conclusion

We may think that the relationship that we have within them on our part within us gets weakened. It may well do, but this warrants some investigation because that means that the relationship that you have with the person is based on thinking and thoughts and concepts and in another words ego.

When we really love people not thinking of them does not harm to that part of the relationship that we have with them that only dwells within us.

But this does not mean that we can’t think of others and remember them fondly and with warmth. Often this can bring comfort to us and if what flows out of us is positive then it won’t harm anyone.

Some Notes on Wisdom - (941)

About Wisdom

Wisdom is a remedy.

Wisdom is what gives us a balm to our painful heart. It is also what soothes the soul.

It is what brings us solace.

It is what gives us the solution.

It is what calms us.

It is what changes things within us and it is what transforms our life.

There is the tree of wisdom which releases an atom of wisdom at a time for us to absorb into our system, it has to be this way - gradual.

It is light or consciousness or part of consciousness is wisdom.

It is the self-revelation of the teachings, it is truth or knowledge or teachings revealed by the consciousness to itself. It is self-revelation. It is truth apprehended by the consciousness.

Wisdom is different to knowledge, where knowledge mainly dwells in the mind wisdom is what becomes a part of you, that is, it is what integrates into your own Being. We usually say he or she is a wise person indicating that they are that instead of saying he or she has wisdom.

From darkness comes light and the wisdom. But darkness transformed or worked upon.

It is experience plus the knowledge and understanding of what gave the solution, it is the down and the up and if it is lacking the up or the down it is not wisdom. Wisdom is knowledge of the hole and how one came out of the hole, it is a complete cycle.

Wisdom needs to be combined with Mars or force or action. In combination with Mars it is formidable, the combination of Mercury and Mars is really powerful.

The awakened people are wise. It is what got them there and it is what maintains then there walking on the razor’s edge. It is what we use to stay on the razor’s edge.

It is what comes from when we contrast or when we find the third option which is balance. It is the third pole which is the third logos which is balance and the wise solution.

Lessons from the Silent Flute or Circle of Iron In Relation to Lust - (940)

Silent Flute or Circle of Iron?

The movie starring David Caroldine and originally written by Bruce Lee is really worth watching and is full of lessons. This post is about one lesson to do with lust.

The Scene

Cord the seeker faces his next trial “the rose in the dessert”. This trial has all to do with lust. Cord finds himself in front of a very beautiful, accommodating yet tempting Tara who is married to Shamsa. Cord has been travelling alone for many months or years and is tired and has endured many hardships along the way and Tara’s offer of companionship, affection, pleasure and comfort are too much for him to resist, so he succumbs to her offer.

The Lessons

Lesson 1

After cord has spent the night with Tara he awakens the next morning in a desert on the bare sand and all the people, tents, animals, festivities etc. are gone, nowhere to be seen.
.
This is a very important symbol because it tells us that what awaits one when one gives into their lust forgetting themselves is an inner emptiness, abandonment and loneliness.

He even finds Tara crucified which causes him tremendous pain once again teaching us that after lust there is pain!

Lesson 2

Cord later finds his guide on the top of mountain and in this scene shown below cord tells his master that he learnt that he can not possess anything even what he loves. His master replies “every moment changes you, how can you possess something or someone else when you can’t even possess yourself”.

This is important because lust is about possessing, and of course we can never possess what was never ours in the first place (others belong to their Beings) and what's more we can never possess what leaves us all the time (people have to leave us, they can never be with us all the time). We can not possess another, all that we can try to possess is to be possessed by our Being. We can not possess another, only they can be possessed by their very own Being and this is what hurts lust tremendously and that is why lust turns to become so very controlling, all the time trying desperately to grasp and hold onto what it likes but it can never do it, old age, death, circumstances of life and many other things will always take it from you.

End (940).

When Hypnotised Question Everything - (939)

Strong Hypnotic Ego

When an ego is manifesting very intensely in our human machine and it hypnotic grip is firmly upon us, one very powerful thing that we can do to get it to release its grip is to question everything that comes out of that ego.

Thoughts, Feelings and Words

Question the thoughts asking yourself “is that really true?”, “is that absolutely true?”, “what’s so bad about that?”, “what’s so good about that?” and “is that that important?”.

To be hypnotised is to believe in something that is not true. So we have to find out the untrue belief and then when we see that it is not true we will get some more freedom.

Question everything that comes out of that ego with intensity as if you are looking for its falsity. We suffer because we don’t accept or see reality. Our interior nature – our essence or is the truth and knows the truth and when we are against that interior nature – our essence believing something false we suffer and feel pain in all its variety of forms from anger to anxiety.

Conclusion

When we are hypnotised the best is to question everything that that ego thinks. You will get heaps of light and come out of that ego’s hypnotic grip.

End (939).

Be what you want to Receive from Others - (938)

Feel Awful?

We have a lot of expectations and we wish that others fulfil these expectations. When others don’t fulfil them we get usually angry, upset or disappointed.

Why do we have them? Answer: For us to Fulfil them

The real reason why we have expectations is something that people don’t often see and the real reason is for us to live them out.

However we get it wrong and expect that others do them, so then we become very controlling and demanding and unreasonable at times.

It is really our philosophy that is there for us to live out and not to force toehrs to live it. How can we force others, we can’t and if we try we upset others, make their life miserable and make our life miserable at the same time.

Conclusion

Live out your expectations for yourself that you have of others!

Give what you want to receive, including give to yourself!

Be the change that you want others to make!

When it Hurts, Feverishly Seek Answers Deep from Within - (937)

Feel Awful?

When we feel something from an ego that we don’t like turn your sight inwards!

Gnosis says the answers are inside of us, in our psyche and consciousness. Make this work!

Get your answers! Use your will to make it work!

How? Just do it!

Get the answers and be free!

I quite like the image below. It is good for self-remembering.

People with Faculties and the Work - (936)

Introduction

There are people nearly everywhere that see, feel and hear things and have this and that type of fantastic experience. During meditation they see lights, auras, images, angels, pyramids you name it. So what is going on with them?

They Lost their Consciousness

They have lost their consciousness but their faculties remain, they are fallen and so in doing this they have lost the consciousness related to that faculty. They what’s they don’t understand what they see, hear and feel and they tend to see things that are off on a tangent to what they are doing. So say we are all meditating on dissolving pride they end up seeing trees and swirling lights which have nothing to do with the task at hand.

Their faculties distract them and because they have lost the consciousness to manage and understand them their faculty bothers them and unbalances them. They all end a little strange, talking about airy fairy spiritual things in the most inappropriate moments.

Conclusion

They are also not so good for the work on themselves. Usually all these people who have faculties do not end up being very good psychological workers. It is a mistake sometimes for Gnostic instructors to think that people with faculties are good for the work. They are good for tarot cards and healing practices and free meditations but working hard and changing their psychology is another thing all together.

If you combine faculties and consciousness well then that is marvellous and that is what makes a very different person all together.

End (936).

Meditate on People to Know the Past - (935)

Introduction

We can even meditate on people so to know our connection with them from the past.

Work an Ego in Relation to Someone

We can work on an ego in relation to a person, and sometimes we really have to do this. Because with this one person we can have a lot of egoical history such as fears and resentments etc.

Past Lives Practices in Relation to Someone

We can also bring a person into our past life practices as well. Doing the past life practice and then concentrating on the person asking the Divine Mother to show us how the relationship was in the past and what events took place to have shaped these feelings and emotions that we now have. This knowledge if we come by it will certainly help us in understanding our psychology in relation to that person.

End (935).

The Past is the Present - (934)

Thank goodness for that because that means that what you feel now in the present was created before and therefore is the past. Knowing the present profoundly we get to know the past.

This means that much of our past lives are in the emotions that we feel now.

The psychological is always the door to the esoteric, this is because it is the bridge between the esoteric and the physical. So want to know the esoteric start at the physical and then progress to the psychological and reach the esoteric.

End (934).

Discern Right from Wrong - (933)

Introduction

What is wrong hurts and what is right doesn’t. That simple.

There are times in our psychological work that we seem not to be able to understand or see that something is wrong.

One Way to Know Which is Which

One way to know that something is wrong is to look at its consequences in two fields, what happens inside of us and what happens outside of us. If we hurt as a result as a result of what happens in either of these fields then it is wrong. Consider this example.

An Example

We may not think that to have a beer now and then at 100pm at night is wrong. We say it is not hurting anyone, I am drinking it in my house, no one knows, I feel apparently ok etc.

If one is to look into this deeply one may feel inside of him or herself that one is faltering in their personal will and not doing their best in relation to their work and heir Being and so one deep down feels low or disappointed. See hurt equal wrong.

Consider the Consequences

The other thing is to consider the consequences, say somebody finds out and then their opinion of you will drop and if they are students of yours they may leave your group or get disappointed with Gnosis (which is wrong because Gnosis is not a person it is knowledge) or they may make a scandal or spread rumours. All of which will cause you hurt.

Conclusion

The results should always be considered when discerning if something is wrong or right.

End (933).
